Exciting plans are emerging for the future of the Wolvercote Hub!

We’re delighted to announce that we are planning to redevelop, refurbish, and modestly extend the Hub over the next few years. This project will ensure the Hub remains a welcoming, flexible space for the community, young people, and families for many years to come.

We are at the early stage of planning and are working with stakeholders, funders, and partners to explore the best options for the building and site. We want the local community to be part of shaping the project, so your ideas and feedback are very welcome.

Community Engagement

Your voice matters! We will be inviting feedback and sharing updates as plans progress.

Come along and share your ideas at our community event:
25 June – as part of the Wolvercote and Wytham Midsummer Festival.

This is your chance to see our early plans, ask questions, and help shape the future of the Hub.

Our Project Objectives

The redevelopment will:

  • Refurbish and update the building to support community activities for at least 20 years
  • Extend the building to create a welcoming entrance and flexible internal spaces
  • Improve the external appearance to make the Hub more visually appealing
  • Upgrade sports and activity facilities
  • Expand kitchen facilities to support larger events
  • Allow multiple groups to use the building at the same time, with secure separation for safeguarding
  • Ensure accessibility for all
  • Create flexible spaces for a variety of activities and groups
  • Update fittings, finishes, and internal spaces

Why This Matters for Wolvercote

The Wolvercote Hub is a place where people of all ages come together — to learn, socialise, celebrate, and support one another.

By improving and extending the building, we aim to create a more welcoming, accessible, and flexible space that can support more activities, more community groups, and better facilities for young people and families.

Our goal is to ensure the Hub continues to serve Wolvercote’s community for many years to come.

We will share updates here as plans progress.
